PROTEST CHINA'S INCURSION ON PHILIPPINE SOVEREIGNTY,EXPOSE THE ANTI-CHINA CAMPAIGN OF THE US/AQUINO ADMINISTRATIONIN ORDER TO STRENGTHEN US CONTROL IN THE ASIA-PACIFIC REGION
Fellow countrymen, it is the duty of every Filipino to protect the sovereignty and integrity of our country from all foreign designs. Our history exhibits the gallantry of our forebears in fighting the colonial Spanish, Americans and Japanese. Even if we are away from our country, we are following their lead by staging a protest in front of the Chinese embassy here in Italy in order to express our firm conviction regarding the Spratlys and Scarborough Shoal issues just like we oppose Malaysia's illegal occupation of Sabah.
Our goal is to acquire the sympathy and solidarity of the international community. We want a peaceful and diplomatic resolution through multilateral talks or the United Nations.
But although we are protesting China's incursions, we shouldn't allow the US to use this issue to justify a new military build-up on our soil which will be a precursor for the return of their military bases by using an anti-China scare campaign. In recent weeks, we have observed the increased frequency of the arrival of US battleships sanctioned by the Visiting Forces Agreement. These developments put in peril a peaceful resolution to our problem and only serve the world power interests of the US.
We must stand firm for a free and neutral Philippines! We must oppose and fight all foreign designs on our country! Long live OFWs... Long live Filipinos... Long live the Philippines!!!
